| Holding on to the Elmo sippy cup. |
It was hard to get back into Daniel's daycare prep routine after having him home for over a week and a half. I loved having time with him and finally figuring out a schedule for him during the days. He seems to love schedules as much as his mommy and daddy and we were able to keep him active (and tire him out!) And thankfully he let us sleep last night and quit the "gitmo" pattern he had for the first half of the holidays...thanks in part to the two bottom teeth that recently cut through. Here's his schedule (for now).
- 6:30 am (ish) - wake up D/nurse (he rarely needs to be woken up, he tends to scream and/or wake up on his own.
- 7:45 am - breakfast right before leaving for "school", 4 oz (ish) of a fruit and dairy. Cottage cheese w/ the curds mashed up is a favorite, plain yogurt, as we found out this morning, is not.
- 8:15 am - leave for school/work
- 8:30-5:00 - School time: three 5-oz bottles every 3.5-4 hours (approx. 9:30 12:30 and 4), plus lunch of 4oz (or one of those little gladware cups) veggies and 4 oz of apple juice in a big boy sippy cup! A new skill learned over Christmas break.
- 6:00 pm (ish) - dinner, 4 oz of another veggie
- 7:30 pm - nurse and bed before 8pm
- 8:30 pm- re-stock the daycare diaper bag with diapers, bibs and new set of clothes (if needed). Prep bottles and meals for next day.
Daddy and I are alternating drop offs and pick ups so I can get back into the work-out routine and to accommodate meetings and appointments for him.
