Eventful last two weeks...
You know it's bad when your 7-year niece calls you out for not blogging about the baby, but it's been an eventful two weeks! Knowing (hoping) that labor was imminent we had been trying to do lots of things as a "family of three" and I was trying to get in last minute errands and desperately trying to get some rest with my humongous belly. Oh yeah and work until two days before having the baby. But we had a Father's day present for the ages and after a fast labor and eventual c-section, Daniel became a big brother. And after months of talking it up, he's really taken to loving "his baby".

2nd birthday
What a difference a year makes! All Daniel needed for his 1st birthday party was a cupcake and a kiddie pool (and BBQ and beer for the parents). He wasn't even walking yet but we set up his swingset/playhouse. This year we got a bounce house, more cupcakes and chick-fil-a for the kiddos. Simple is better and every kid there left exhausted. SCORE!
Getting ready: A 1st birthday present, now doubles as a "lawnmower"
Everyone found the bounce house rather quickly.
Cousin Alicia (7) entertains the younger kids.
Daniel enraptured by the Henel sisters.
Happy birthday to Daniel!
Mommy I want YOUR cupcake too...
SO much fun, Bennett (10 mo.) wants in on the action

Peanut butter boy
Catching up on draft posts as we get ready for the arrival of Daniel's little brother. We have some good birthday and beach pictures...but must get these up first...
I feel like I've posted about Daniel's love for peanut butter before, but here's some more evidence that, like his daddy (and Gradma Mary), he prefers it straight out of the jar and on a spoon. And of course you have to share. He's sort of learning the word for peanut butter, instead he jut points to the jar and says "yummy"
