The Upham Boys' Adventures: Eight months (+ a few days)

Poor second child. Mommy can't even do your month-day blogs on the day...sorry. Of course we were in California on the 16th of this month so I couldn't get the picture with the boppy, but we finally got it tonight. And it's a perfect example of Baby David's personality this month. He's turning into a very tactile baby. Here are eight of his latest tricks:
1. Based on the photo evidence below, David loves to shred paper. He also loves anything that crinkles. It's one of the easiest ways to entertain him if he's getting cranking.
2. He has excellent hand-eye coordination, especially if it involves putting something in his mouth. Puffs go in by the fist fulls. Puffs are the best thing EVER!
3. It shouldn't be a surprise, but he also is a big time eater. And heaven help you if you don't get it into his mouth as soon as he wants it. He also likes to hold a spoon while he's fed.
4. David has a discriminating palate. Don't you dare give him a room temperature bottle (don't even think about giving him a cold one). Makes it rather difficult when you're trying to make a bottle on the run.
5. David is full out army crawling, but only when he wants something. He seems to be more content to just hang out and be held.
6. He is a big fan of hair and noses and freely grabs both. The kid has a good grip to go with his hand-eye coordination.
7. He's still not sleeping through the night. Boo. He has also fought through a bought with bronchitis this month and has the contact winter cough, but we haven't been successful with cry it out in order to let his brother sleep. Hopefully we'll turn a corner this month.
8. He's starting to "talk" with lots of "Mama"s and "Baba"s and sometimes he'll click his jaw while doing so. We think he likes the feeling of it though it look a little disturbing for him to click his jaw.
