Daniel has always loved "baby David" and he still does...he's just starting to act out some of his frustrations that he's no longer the center of attention all the time. Connor does the same thing, he just digs up the back yard and gets into the trash. Daniel has started hitting, scratching and biting his little brother. It's all generally within the realm of innocence: a kiss on the forehead turns into a toothy kiss (that left teeth marks), a soothing touch in the backseat turns into a clawing stroke (that drew blood) but the completely unprovoked closed-fisted hit to the head this morning and the open-handed smack tonight have earned very strong toned scoldings and instant time-outs from both mommy and daddy. And a lucky for him, a mommy who has made a vow to never spank...while angry. So now we're trying all new tactics of "we're nice people" "we love our baby brother" to giving Daniel tasks to help out and be the helpful big brother. But in the mean time we'll guard the baby's head a bit closer and wait for the day when David's as big (or bigger) than Daniel and can fend for himself. But for now...how did my sweet baby go from this...
to the green-eyed monster....
