Halloween

It was a cold Halloween night but it was perfect for walking all over the neighborhood. Lots of homes were decorated and neighbors were out. David was a quick learner to pick up the candy and Daniel almost always remembered to say thank you. Now to hide their candy.

Little pumpkins

I need to catch up but here are some photos from a quick after school  (after grocery store) trip to the pumpkin patch. Just like last year Daniel was very decisive about which ones he liked and didn't like and picked out 3, one for him, baby David and Mommy. The big one we have at home is for Daddy. They even gave us stickers to help decorate them since we don't have paint. We'll carve the big daddy pumpkin on Thursday. David even liked running around and trying to pick up the pumpkins. And then two cute Daniel - isms came out on the short ride home...
#1. Daniel: Mommy I want pizza for dinner. (A usual treat when daddy is gone)
Me: I don't think we have any to cook up.
D: That's ok, you can just call the man and he will bring it to our house.
M: oh ok.

#2 Daniel: Look Mommy I can turn everything off!!!
(I turned around to see him quickly opening and closing his eyes...)
Daniel: On. Off. On. Off.

Snip snip

It was finally time to cut off baby David's sweet curly (shaggy) baby hair. Daddy had enough of it and at 16 months, it was definitely time. So when they refused to nap yesterday, we took them into the local hair cuttery and found someone who actually knew how to cut kids' hair. Without an appointment, yeah! Here are some before, during and after photos. Big brother got his cut too. They do look handsome, but my baby is now a BOY.

Grandpa's Farm

We took a long weekend to go visist some friends and then to see Grandpa Upham and Grandma Janice on their farm in Bassett, VA. We knew Daniel would love the tractor, but both he and David really took to the goats as well. We also enjoyed many of the veggies and fresh eggs from the farm. Of course Daniel can't stop talking about the tractor...

Renn Fest

I'm really behind in posting updates. Sorry grandmas. Here are a few from our trip to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I went here all through high school and always remembered it as a cool not so crowded place. Not so on a VERY hot Labor Day Monday. Daniel didn't eat much and the day ended with him yelling "Mommy my tummy hurts!!! RIGHT NOW" and while the first part is a usual ploy for him to stall going to bed or after he didn't eat the dinner that he was supposed to, the "RIGHT NOW" part grabbed my attention. I scooped him up from the stroller and he proceeded to throw up right down my back (in the middle of a very public area. I moved him over to the side between two shops and he threw up some more. It was mostly water so I knew it was a heat thing, but oh the joys of motherhood. But at least we had some fun before.
